Join Propagate and Clydesdale Soil Health Network at Lesmahagow Allotments to learn composting skills, ask questions and make connections with other growing groups.
The session is designed to:
- Improve your practical knowledge and confidence around composting systems and soil health
- Connect you with other community growers and projects with whom you can share experiences and learning
- Deepen your understanding of compost and its role in biodiversity and climate action
All levels of experience are welcome, whether you are new to composting or you are a seasoned grower.
What to expect:
- Gain an understanding of the basics – green and brown matter; what compost needs to work well
- Learn about compost as a living ecosystem – hear about the role of microbes, fungi and invertebrates
- Understand different composting systems and methods
- Improve your composting through a hands-on workshop
- Leave with tips for sharing your knowledge with others within your group
