Small grants programme 2026/27

Circular Life Skills Grant

The Circular Life Skills Grant is designed to equip communities with the skills that support a circular economy. These circular life skills include but are not limiting to: reusing, sharing, repairing and repurposing. By developing circular life skills, we can keep items in circulation for longer and as a result help our communities reduce waste and save money.

A grant of up to £1000 is available to community groups and organisations to deliver a project that increases circular life skills within their community.

Due to overwhelming demand, we are no longer accepting applications for clothing mend or repair projects.
However, applications are still open for projects which provide practical skills training in areas such as furniture repair and reupholstery, technology, small electrical items, musical instruments, and much more.

Climate Action Mentorship Grant

The purpose of the Climate Action Mentorship Grant is to provide tailored learning and support for Lanarkshire groups and organisations, enabling them to plan and deliver a climate action project in their community. This is achieved through peer-to-peer support from experienced organisations (mentors) to develop and deliver climate action projects in their communities.

Mentorship grants of up to £1,000 are available to support Lanarkshire community organisations and groups to develop local climate action projects through peer-to-peer learning. Funding includes up to £750 for a mentor organisation and £250 for the mentee group to help build the skills and knowledge to develop your project, and to address and overcome common barriers.

Applications are now open.

Sustainable Community Food Grant

The purpose of the Sustainable Community Food Grant is to enable community groups and organisations to explore:

  • the impact that climate change is having on our food systems
  • how our current food systems contribute to climate change

and to identify what can be done locally to tackle this and to help their communities to save money and improve their health and wellbeing.

The grant will enable your community to participate in an interactive workshop delivered by the Lanarkshire Climate Action Hub and from the ideas gathered at the workshop, you will prioritise what projects to pursue with the £2000 funding from this grant.

We are not currently accepting applications for this grant however, if you have a food project you would like to discuss, get in touch on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
