Energy Handholding Service

If you are running a community building and would you like to improve the energy efficiency of the building, our Energy Handholding Service is here to support you.

What is the Energy Handholding Service?

The Hub's Energy Handholding Service has been created to help community groups across Lanarkshire improve the energy efficiency of their buildings.  Our Development Officer for Energy, Natasha, will work closely with you from the initial free Business Energy Scotland (BES) report, through to implementing recommendations that will help improve the efficiency and future-proof the building.

Here's how we can help you

  • Arrange a free Business Energy Scotland report
  • Review and explain the report in plain language
  • Help source feasibility studies and quotes for energy improvements
  • Support with capacity to help locate funding opportunities and fill out applications
  • Provide tailored support to your group

Why get in touch?

Improving the energy efficiency of your community building can feel like a daunting task especially if you are a volunteer run community group who may lack capacity, energy efficiency knowledge and the technical skills to make your building more sustainable.  The Hub can:

  • Simplify the process – guiding you through each stage and helping to identify next steps.
  • Help you access funding – that can help pay for the energy efficient improvements.
  • Save time – so your focus can be on running the community group.
