Community composting
Case studies
Community composting brings neighbours together to turn shared food scraps and garden waste into a collective resource — healthy, home-grown compost that benefits everyone involved. While community-scale food-waste composting in Scotland is still limited by SEPA regulations, small pilots are demonstrating how safe, local, circular systems can work in practice. Groups are experimenting, sharing learning, and building confidence.
