Join us during Biggar Little Festival as we display the final exhibition of the Growing Biggar project.
Curated over 3 seasons, the exhibition will showcase the journey of the Growing Biggar project and the growth of the Biggar Vegetable. Featuring artwork from participants at events during the series, the exhibition will be an experience for all the senses with opportunity to get hands-on with some of the materials.
Growing Biggar was set up as a network of groups and individuals with an interest in community growing to build connections and exchanges of stories, ideas, tools, seeds and more. From the network, the Biggar Vegetable was chosen as broad beans. Come along to learn how growers across South Lanarkshire got involved with growing the Biggar Broad Bean.
This exhibition is also an opportunity to consider how we get more people and communities growing their own food and where there are knowledge gaps to be addressed.
This is a drop-in session, no booking is required.
